When Progressives Revert To Their Nazi Roots, The New York Times Cartoon Is The Inevitable Outcome

In America, the emerging coalescence of progressivism, white nationalism, and Islam spells danger for American Jewry

During the Holocaust, a German Nazi newspaper published a cartoon in which Churchill is led along on a leash by a dirty, un-shaved Jew, with the prerequisite hooked nose. Yesterday, the international addition of the New York Times published a cartoon in which a blind Trump, wearing a kippah, is dragged along on a leash by a dog with Israeli PM Netanyahu’s face and a huge Star of David dangling form its neck, just in case anyone missed the point. The kippah (yarmulke) on Trump’s Gentile head was no doubt designed to demonstrate that Trump has committed the cardinal sin of being Jew-friendly, while the choice of Netanyahu’s face as opposed to the archetypal hook-nosed Jew was intended to invoke the get out of jail free card of modern Nazis, the claim that they are bigoted against Israelis, rather than Jews in general.

The New York Times, in offering its apology, suggested that the decision to publish the cartoon was made by a single editor and that a glitch in the editorial process resulted in lack of proper oversight. They hinted that the editor’s days at the “newspaper of record” are numbered. Let’s stipulate all that. But who hired the anti-Semitic editor? Was he or she hired because of their obvious rabid anti-Semitism, or in spite of of it? What is his or her name and ethnic background? I, for one, would like to know before I can consider the newspaper’s apology for the vile slander they allowed to be published on their pages.

The sad truth is that news outlets like the New York Times, the Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC and many others have been on the forefront of foisting on unsuspecting Americans the narrative of inevitability of the globalist progressivist, Islamist rule. This rule, this narrative tells us, will replace nation states and make national sovereignty a thing of the past. It is inevitable; resistance is futile. Those who still dare resist, be they countries like Israel, Poland, or Hungary, politicians like Trump, or simply regular Americans, deserve to be vilified in every way possible. The leaders of the Democratic Party in Congress and in the Senate, as well as its presidential candidates allow themselves to call Israeli incumbent and reelected PM Netanyahu and by implication the 60% of Israelis of all ethnicities who voted for parties that support him racist. This de-legitimizes not only Netanyahu, but the entire country of Israel, and they don’t hesitate to do it with other countries such as Poland and Hungary as well.

The deafening silence from the main stream American media in the face of this reckless political behavior and horrific display of ethnic and religious bias by the Democrats enables them to keep their destructive behavior alive and even compete with each other as to who among them can adopt the most extreme anti-Semitic positions. At this point in time, when all things are beginning to be revealed, when all the hidden scum rises to the surface, it must be said loudly and clearly: most of the American Jewish elites support the racist, anti-Semitic Democratic Party and its propaganda arm known as the American main stream media. And they do not support them from the sidelines. No, they are among the leaders, the absolute worst offenders. Be it Sanders or Schumer, Zucker or Zuckerberg (and yes, Facebook is a media company like any other), American Jews are leading the charge against their own people and their own homelands, both the current and the historic.

This fact is going far from unnoticed by the American white nationalist fringe and there can be little doubt that the policies of unchecked migration and wholesale divestment from manufacturing espoused for decades by both Democratic and Republican elites, policies that disproportionately hurt working class white Americans, are every day adding to the numbers of that extreme element. What we are witnessing today is a pincer movement that is going to trap American Jewry in ways that bear stunning similarity to what transpired with the similarly assimilated, integrated into the highest levels of power, and oblivious to danger German Jewry of the 1920s and 1930s. American Jews are about to be trapped by enraged working class white nationalists and the no less extreme, no less white, and no less dangerous progressives and their Muslim hijabed shock troops.

Jews have been living in the diaspora for two and a half millennia, from which for nearly two millennia there was no independent political Jewish entity in their ancestral homeland, the Land of Israel. What is important to remember though, is that during all but the last 100 years of these 25 centuries, diaspora Jews, be they in Morocco, Spain, or Poland, kept to themselves and played no role in public affairs. Yes, there were Jewish viziers and even prime ministers, but they were exceedingly few in number and they had to convert to Christianity or Islam and denounce their Jewishness. It is only with the onset of the 20th century that the world saw Jews becoming enmeshed in the public lives of their host nations and assume top leadership positions in every aspect of these lives from academia, to law, to politics.

This started with the Bolshevik movement in the Soviet Union and continued in the “between the wars” period of the Weimar republic in Germany. Now it is true in the US and to a lesser degree in France. In both Russia and Germany, the increased Jewish visibility, their assumption of leadership positions in the public lives of their host nations led to disastrous results for the Jewish communities in those countries and elsewhere. I want to be clear, I am not blaming Jews, even for a second, for any harm to that came to them. It is also true that Jews were often slaughtered by Gentiles when they kept to themselves. The point I am making is a different one. No matter how much diaspora Jews want to be accepted on an equal footing in their host countries, no matter how much they contribute, even if they write the best Christian songs like “Chestnuts Roasting on An Open Fire”, they will never be accepted as equal. This is not an opinion; it is a fact-based observation resting on twenty-five centuries of empirical data.

Something bad, very bad, is taking place in America today. A three-headed monster of progressivism, white nationalism, and Islam is being born and that monster has the American Jewish community firmly in its sights. Of course, we are living today, for the first time ever, in a world in which the Jews not only have political independence, they have a homeland that possesses (according to foreign sources) a significant nuclear arsenal and the ability to deliver it anywhere on Earth via a fully functional nuclear triad. But that does not mean that diaspora Jews are safe in the diaspora. Israel has very little means available to it to protect Jews in America. There is nothing that Israel can do to defend a synagogue in Pittsburgh or in San Diego. Israel has no say in who gets a seat in the American Congress. All that Israel can do is welcome every Jew to be safe in his or hers own homeland, the only place in the world where Jews and only Jews hold all the leadership positions without fear of persecution.
