Israeli news resource Ynet is quoting Syrian media who are reporting this afternoon (Israel time) that an Israeli airstrike has taken place in the Al-Kisweh area of Southern Syria, and area that had been already struck several times before, including just ten day ago. As usual, Syrian media is reporting that their air defenses have been successful in repelling the attack, though satellite photography often disproves these claims in the days after the attack.

If Israel is indeed behind the attack, it would be the first such action had taken place since command of the IDF was assumed by the new Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Aviv Kochavi and while Israeli Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Benjamin Netanyahu is on a historic visit to Chad.
