The radical left that makes up an ever growing part of the Democrat Party showed its true colors on a night that over 500 rockets rained indiscriminately on Israeli civilians. The Palestinians mark a day the call Nakba or Catastrophy on the same day Israelis commemorate the establishment of a Jewish state. This year, Representative Rashida Tlaib attempted hold a commemoration in the House of Representatives, but Speaker Kevin McCarthy blocked the meeting. Not to be deterred, Senator Bernie Marcus offered up the chambers of the committee he chairs, allowing Tlaiba and a variety of radical anti-Israel organizations to meet at the US Capitol.
While Israeli civilians spent the night in bomb shelters, Tlaib was quoted as saying, “No child should ever have to worry what will fall from the sky.” Certainly this is a sentiment that most Americans hold, but this seemed to be lost on those who attended the event. Other radicals of “The Squad” like Representative Cori Bush Rep. attended the event. Bush earlier in the week tweeted “It’s time America stopped funding apartheid Israel”.
Other attendees Americans for Justice in Palestine Action, Jewish Voice for Peace, and Institute for Middle East Understanding are all well known anti-Israel organizations that have supported terrorists, including Palestinian Islamic Jihad leader Khader Adnan, whose hunger strike death led to this most recent spate of rocket attacks. In a Tweet posted by Tlaib , she declared, “Let the headlines read ‘McCarthy tries to erase Palestine but fails.'”.
