The Israeli Defense Force struck thousands of rocket launchers and Iranian proxy army Hezbollah military targets in Lebanon over the last 24 hours. The attacks come on the heels of the ‘pager bombs’ which put a large number of Hezbollah fighters out of action.
Hezbollah responded overnight by launching hundreds of missiles towards Israel, where most of the projectiles were intercepted, although some damage was absorbed by The Jewish State, as seen below. No casualties were reported.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu vowed to continue the fight and return Israeli citizens to their homes and businesses in the north of the country.
“If Hezbollah did not understand the message, I promise you – they will understand the message,” declared Netanyahu.
Today (Sunday, 22 September 2024) Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant toured the Air Force’s command and control center, where he was briefed by IAF Commander Maj.-Gen. Tomer Bar about the IAF’s readiness for both defensive and offensive activities, said the IDF Press Office.
Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant:
“I came to see the IAF’s activities up close – the result is extremely impressive in both defense and offense, at all levels. Hezbollah has begun experiencing the impact of the IDF’s capabilities, and they sense that they are being pursued.”
“Activities will continue until we reach a point where we may ensure the safe return of [the residents of] Israel’s northern communities to their homes – this is our goal, this is our mission, and we will employ the means necessary to achieve it.”
