UPDATE: Lebanese army is moving large forces southwards to replace the IDF as it withdraws.
Hezbollah fighters returned to southern Lebanon today as the ceasefire went into effect with Israel early this morning. Both sides launched massive strike volleys to achieve last minute target destruction before the shooting stopped per the agreement.
According to Israel, there have already been violations of the ceasefire on the side of Hezbollah.
As we reported yesterday, this agreement was forced on the Israelis by the outgoing Biden administration via threats of sanctions, UN resolutions, and arms blockades.
