HIGH NOON: de Blasio And The Jewish Community

Bill de Blasio is fundamentally misguided. We have seen that when, on March 2, he published the following tweet:

“Since I’m encouraging New Yorkers to go on with your lives + get out on the town despite Coronavirus, I thought I would offer some suggestions,” Here’s the first: thru Thurs 3/5 go see The Traitor [at Lincoln Center]. If The Wire was a true story + set in Italy, it would be this film.”

At that point, Italy already had 10 municipalities on lockdown. So much for any leadership from de Blasio with this reckless suggestion.

But it gets worse. On April 28^th, Rabbi Chaim Mertz, a leading Rabbi in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, passed away from the Corona Virus. There was a group of his followers who were mourning their deeply felt loss of their spiritual leader.

So here comes Mayor de Blasio threatening to arrest members of this Jewish community for lack of social distancing.

Here is de Blasio’s tweet of April 28^th:

My message to the Jewish community, and all communities, is this simple: the time for warnings has passed. I have instructed the NYPD to proceed immediately to summons or even arrest those who gather in large groups. This is about stopping this disease and saving lives. Period.

Here is the same irresponsible alleged leader who earlier told people in New York City to go out and enjoy themselves threatening to arrest a highly religious community.

Here is the same irresponsible alleged leader who did not order supplies until a week into March.

Here is the same irresponsible alleged leader who failed to properly and effectively transfer nursing home patients to the Javits Center or the Comfort, where they would have been properly protected.

Here is the disgraceful excuse for a leader keeping the subway system open through this entire period. Social distancing there? No chance.

Here is the same hypocrite who continued going to his gym to work out in the morning while others could not.

Who is de Blasio kidding? He is an elitist and now the question becomes his attitude toward Jews. Why did he single out the Jewish community?

Mayor Bill de Blasio had pastors and Hassidic Jews arrested and threatened to close churches and synagogues permanently, but he is doing something different for Muslims.

He announced Thursday that the city will provide for its Muslim community amid the coronavirus by distributing “over half a million meals” during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

The communist mayor of New York City will distribute over half-a-million Halal meals.

Is de Blasio a bigot against Christians and Jews? Is he an apologist for Islamic activity, whatever it may be?

And why is he supplying 500,000 meals to the Islamic community and harshly and punitively treating the Jewish community, as well as the Christian community with such disdain?
