IDF Forces occupy Syria side of Mount Hermon
The Israeli Defense Force is destroying weapons stockpiles in Damascus and other areas.
The IDF has also moved into southern Syria with tanks and other troops to establish a buffer zone against any jihadi rebel activity, and have occupied a Syrian army base in the Golan Heights.
Syrian air base assets are also being destroyed by the IAF, including Khalkhallah Air Base, and targets in the Daraa and Suwayda regions.
Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Katz held a press conference today in the Golan and declared:
“I instructed the IDF to seize the buffer zone with Syria and the controlling positions adjacent to it, we will not allow any hostile force to establish itself on our border.”
“We extend a hand of good neighborliness and peace, first of all to our Druze neighbors in Syria, “also to Kurds, Christians and Muslims, who want to live in peace with Israel.”
IDF elements have also occupied the Syria side of Mount Hermon, according to local media reports.
