Ha’aretz is reporting that Israeli PM Netanyahu who has developed a close personal relationship with Indian PM Modi with both leaders exchanging visits lat year, is planning another visit to India within the coming two weeks. India is a major client for the Israeli arms industry with the most recent purchase of the fourth-generation fire and forget anti-tank Spike missiles valued at half a billion USD, coming on the heels of a two billion USD deal between India and Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI). It is reported that India wishes to conclude another large arms deal and that is the reason behind Netanyahu’s visit to India when both he and his Indian counterpart are facing reelection campaigns. Asia Pacific accounts for 58% of all Israeli arms exports with India making up the largest share of that market.
