Lithuania, with its deep history of anti-Semitism and Nazi collaboration is divided over support for the Jewish State
The President of Lithuania, Dalia Grybauskaite, perpetuated the EU’s hatred of the only democracy in the Middle East, the Jewish State of Israel, after her Prime Minister returned from a visit to the region, as he did not visit the so-called ‘Palestinian’ territories.
“This visit to Israel drew mixed reactions from the international community and foreign media. Therefore, (it) did more harm than good,” she said in a comment forwarded by her press service, reported The Baltic Times.
Tomas Berzinskas, the prime minister’s spokesman, said Skvernelis focuses on the content rather than on the form during his foreign visits, seeking to achieve concrete results and benefit for Lithuania, added The Baltic Times.
“What causes far greater and long-term harm to Lithuania is single-person decisions, possibly made to please the leaders of individual countries and resulting in turning away from our key strategic partner, the United States of America, when voting in the United Nations,”
After being the location of the worst genocide in history, the attempted destruction of the Jewish people by nearby Germany, Grybauskaite is perpetuating the European Union’s long-term animosity against Jerusalem.
