TRUMP ANNOUNCES UAE AND ISRAEL WILL NORMALIZE TIES, WORK TOWARDS RELATIONS

TRUMP ANNOUNCES UAE AND ISRAEL WILL NORMALIZE TIES, WORK TOWARDS RELATIONS

Many Middle Eastern talking heads have made fun of the Trump administration’s efforts at peace in the Middle East. However, today those efforts are bearing fruit as the United Arab Emerites, an Islamic prinicipality in the Persian Gulf, is announced to be normalizing ties, and move toward full diplomatic relations with The Jewish State.

The impetus behind this announcement is obviously the Gulf nation’s fear of Iran, and its budding nuclear program, and aggressive intentions in the Middle East, looking to spread its version of extremist Shia Islam and terror. The ‘annexation of the West Bank’ threat, was obviously a negotiating ploy…in other words, ‘The Art of the Deal’.

“Now that the ice has been broken I expect more Arab and Muslim countries will follow the United Arab Emirates,” President Trump said in a statement in the Oval Office. Things are happening that I can’t talk talk about,” he said.

The deal will see Israel cease its planned annexation of the West Bank.

This is a major breakthrough for Israel, as Axios notes that the nation does not have diplomatic recognition in many Middle Eastern countries but has been steadily improving relations in the Gulf, largely due to mutual antipathy toward Iran.

The Trump administration announced the deal is being called the “Abraham Accord,” with Senior Adviser Jared Kushner saying “Muslims will be welcome in Israel,” reported Zero Hedge.

“Opening direct ties between two of the Middle East’s most dynamic societies and advanced economics will transform the region by spurring economic growth, enhancing technological innovation and forging closer people-to-people relations,” said the statement by Trump, Netanyahu and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says that “This is a remarkable achievement for two of the world’s most forward leaning, technologically advanced states, and reflects their shared regional vision of an economically integrated region,” he said in a statement. “It also illustrates their commitment to confronting common threats, as small — but strong — nations.”

“Blessed are the peacemakers. Mabruk and Mazal Tov,” he adds.
