The Israeli Knesset voted with a majority of 71 MKs in favor of annexing the occupied West Bank, which Israel calls Judea and Samaria.
The Trump administration informed Israel and Hamas that it wants to see an end to the war. Washington warned Hamas of withdrawing guarantees if it does not move towards a Gaza deal, reported Clash Report.
A joint statement was issued from Arab and Islamic countries:
– Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories.
– Unilateral annexation of the West Bank cannot change their legal status.
– Such actions will only escalate regional tensions, especially with ongoing aggression in Gaza.
Israel’s Defense Minister: A renewed campaign against Iran is a possibility. We must preserve our achievements and maintain air superiority, reported Israeli journalist Amir Tsarfati.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz in a multi-theater situation assessment with the defense establishment: “We are at the closest point to achieving the war objectives. We have 2 open fronts left in Gaza and Yemen – and we must act to achieve full resolution in them”.
The Defense Minister emphasized the importance of meeting the war goals as set – primarily the return of all hostages and the defeat of the terrorist organization Hamas.
