Donald Trump posted an image on his Truth Social account today which highlighted his reported conflict with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, where Trump has insisted Israel work with him to end the war in Gaza.
Trump to Israeli Channel 12 today declared — “Bibi went too far in Gaza, and Israel lost a lot of support around the world. Now I’m going to bring all that support back.”
Hamas and Israel have accepted at least the initial conditions for ending the conflict.
Marco Rubio says Hamas has agreed in principle to “what happens after the war.”
“We will know very quickly whether Hamas is serious. Israeli bombings in Gaza must stop if an agreement is reached. 90% of the details have been agreed upon; only the logistical issues remain.
“The negotiations cannot continue for weeks or even days. Hamas agreed to Trump’s hostage release framework, the conditions need to be created for that to happen. You can’t have bombs going off and fighting going on in the middle of this exchange.
“Israel has no interest in governing Gaza. They want to turn it over to somebody that will not build tunnels and sponsor terrorism and come across the line and kidnap, rape and murder Israelis. That doesn’t exist. That has to be built.”
When Hamas responded to President Trump’s Gaza peace proposal with a “yes, but,” Trump called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, seeing it as progress, reported Barak Ravid at Axios.
Netanyahu disagreed.
“Bibi told Trump this is nothing to celebrate, and that it doesn’t mean anything,” a U.S. official told Axios.
Trump shot back: “I don’t know why you’re always so f***ing negative. This is a win. Take it.”
Trump confirmed today – “We’ll soon know if Hamas is serious.
“If Hamas stays in power in Gaza, it will face complete obliteration. Gaza deal is a great deal for Israel. No need for much flexibility, the negotiation talks will continue for a few days.”
Meanwhile, with Arab backing, Hamas is moving forward on the deal allegedly.
