Escalation is coming to the northern region now that the Gaza operation is reaching its terminal phase.
The IDF says fighter jets have hit a Hezbollah military headquarters in Lebanon in response to attacks on northern Israel, reports The Times of Israel.
The IDF also says it carried out artillery shelling at a number of areas near the border today, presumably to foil planned Hezbollah attacks.
Several projectiles were fired from Lebanon at areas in northern Israel, with the IDF saying it struck the launch sites.
In Gaza, the IDF continued to dismantle the tunnel network under the territory, heralding the end of Hamas a threat to Israel, unless it is given time to rebuild, something Prime Minister Netanyahu does not look to allow.
The latest revelation regarding Gaza’s web of subterranean hiding spots and fortifications came as the military said it had completed the dismantling of the terror group’s underground command center in the northern Strip, with fighting shifting southward 79 days into a punishing offensive sparked by Hamas’s brutal October 7 assault on southern Israel, wrote TOI.

Today Iran threatened greater escalation – a regional war, after a senior Iranian operative was killed by IDF action.
Iran’s foreign minister warns that “Tel Aviv faces a tough countdown” after a senior officer in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was killed Monday in an alleged Israeli airstrike in the Syrian capital of Damascus.
A wider regional war would likely draw in the United States.
