Israeli commandos kidnapped a Hezbollah naval officer and intelligence operative from a beach in Lebanon in a daring early morning raid.
The IDF officially confirms: Israel’s navy seals (flotilla 13) in a special operation with unit 504 of the military intelligence branch arrested a “Hezbollah operative who is a center of knowledge in the maritime field”, reported Israeli journalist Amir Tsarfati.
The IDF says that he is currently under investigation by the security forces and adds: “Wherever we succeed in taking key operatives captive – we will do it, both in southern Lebanon and in other places.”
The man described as a high-ranking Hezbollah operative has been identified as Imad Amhaz. Commandos on speed boats reportedly landed on a Lebanese beach and snatched him from a cabin in the early morning hours, wrote Zero Hedge.
Security officials clarified that, contrary to depictions in Lebanese media, the detainee is a crucial operative within Hezbollah, fully involved in terrorist activities and by no means an innocent Lebanese citizen. The maritime sector within Hezbollah is highly secretive; only a select few deal with it, and there’s significant compartmentalization regarding this subject. Therefore, capturing a senior maritime official represents an intelligence achievement of the highest order, wrote Tsarfati on his Telegram channel.

Well done, Israel, the world (of sane people) are immensely proud of you.
Enemy combatants are captured, not kidnapped.
