Last night, President Trump, in his first hours in office, held a striking free-flowing press conference as he signed executive orders.
He was asked about the Gaza war.
A reporter asked, “How confident are you that you can keep the ceasefire in Gaza?”
Trump replied, “I’m not confident. It’s their war, not ours …Gaza is a phenomenal location.
Looks like a demolition site…it has to be rebuilt in a different way…a lot could be done with Gaza
Needs to be run by different people, previous people ran it in a very brutal way – but they’re all dead now.”
Meanwhile, Hamas leadership has emerged from the tunnels under the territory and thousands of fighters live to fight again due to the Trump-enforced ceasefire.
Since the Gaza ceasefire deal took effect Sunday morning, there’s been clear evidence that Hamas is still intact and operating in various parts of the Gaza Strip even after some 470 days of war, reported Zero Hedge.
Among Prime Minister Netanyahu’s goals was the complete eradication of Hamas in the wake of the Oct.7 terror attack and taking of hostages. But Hamas commanders have been emerging from the tunnels and parading openly on streets as the ceasefire holds.
Over the past year-plus of fighting both the political leader of Hamas Ismail Haniyeh, and its Gaza commander, Yahya Sinwar, have been killed – so certainly Hamas has taken serious blows, but it still has many thousands of fighters ready to carry on.

Gazans are all under the rule of Hamas and even those who don’t want them are afraid to go against them. This will only change if Israel ends their influence and takes control. and this is the goal. It’s long-term, we know this, and it’s going to take patience.
