The IDF targeted Houthi military leadership in Yemen today with a coordinated, well-planned attack on the Houthi military leadership, which included air and naval assets.
The attacks come after continued ballistic missile launches on The Jewish State, including a recent launch which included MIRV technology, a serious escalation due to the difficulty in defending against such a weapon.
It involved a large number of senior Houthi officials who were gathered at several locations in Sana’a. All of them were attacked simultaneously—within minutes. This was a very large operation that was completed in a short time, taking advantage of an intelligence opportunity and a precise operational action. It is assessed that they had gathered to watch the speech of leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi. The results of the strike are still awaited, reported Israeli journalist Amir Tsarfati.
New details about the attack in Yemen:
The gathering of senior Houthi officials that was attacked – a kind of “cabinet meeting” attended by both military and political senior Houthi figures (ministers).
Security sources say: “The direction is positive – we estimate that we succeeded.”
Among the targets: also the Houthi Chief of Staff whom Israel tried to eliminate during the operation in Iran but he was injured and survived.
Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, whose weekly speech was broadcast at the same time, apparently was not present at the location.
