Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu underwent surgery at Hadassah Medical Center to remove a prostate and is recovering according to reports. He was transfered at an underground medical complex and there were no complications. He has come out from under the anesthesia and is resting; his condition continues to improve.
Undergoing such a procedure during a very hot war is obviously a vulnerability for Israeli leadership and we will monitor, and report on developments.
In addition, El Al Airlines, the Israeli flag carrier has suspended flights to the Russian Federation after the shoot down of an Azeri airliner mistaken for a Ukrainian drone approaching Grozny, the capital of Chechnya.
The suspension will remain in place until April of next year.
