Israeli journalists are reporting Egypt is ready to attack Yemen with fighter aircraft due to the decrease in revenue to the Egyptian state caused by Houthi actions against shipping in the Red Sea.
An official Egyptian source has dismissed Israeli reports regarding alleged preparations for Egyptian military intervention in Yemen, calling such claims “baseless.”
“Such reports contain misleading information that has no basis in fact,” the source stated, as reported by Al Qahera News on Sunday.
American aircraft struck Houthi targets overnight in Yemen.
Meanwhile, the ceasefire in Lebanon seems to be falling apart.
“The first condition for the ceasefire agreement to be implemented is Hezbollah’s complete withdrawal beyond the Litani River – something that has not happened yet. If this condition is not met – there will be no agreement,” declared Israeli Defense Minister Katz while visiting troops in the orthern Command areas.
Middle East media is also reporting both sides in the Gaza conflict are close to agreeing on terms for the release of hostages. The Israeli leadership called an urgent security discussion for this evening.
