IDF forces withdrew in recent hours from the western sector in southern Lebanon – from Naqoura and other areas before the end of the 60-day trial period of the ceasefire. This is the IDF’s most significant withdrawal since the signing of an agreement with the Lebanese government.
Yesterday, the political cabinet authorized the IDF to withdraw from southern Lebanon. This IDF withdrawal occurs during the visit of American envoy Amos Hochstein to Beirut.
The IDF withdrawal is being done in coordination with the American mechanism that oversees the ceasefire. In the video Lebanese army vehicle are taking positions in the vacant areas.
