It has now been confirmed by multiple sources that missiles fired from American helicopter gunships at vehicles near the American embassy in Iraq resulted in the deaths of several high-placed Iranian officials, among them the commander of the revolutionary guards’ Quds Force, the unit responsible for international terrorism actions, Qasem Soleimani (62).
Soleimani was killed immediately upon arriving at the Baghdad airport from Syria or Lebanon along with several high-placed functionaries in the pro-Iranian Shia militia in Iraq that were at the airport to greet him. Among them were the deputy commander of the militia Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandas and he person in charge of external affairs for the militia Mohammad Rada Al-Ja’abari. Soleimani’s body was identified by a ring he was known to always wear.
Soleimani was a known target for assassination, especially by Israel, which according to foreign sources had him in its sights, but the operation was compromised by the Obama administration and thus unable to achieve the desired result.
Ahmed al-Assadi, a spokesman for Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces umbrella grouping of Iran-backed militias commented that “The American and Israeli enemy is responsible for killing the mujahideen Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and Qassem Soleimani,” making it clear that the American action will likely not go without retaliation from Iran and its proxies in the region.
The successful operation this evening goes beyond the mere elimination of Soleimani and other senior terrorists; it demonstrates the deadly accuracy of American and perhaps Israeli intelligence services, which were able to pinpoint Soleimani’s movements and surprise him at the moment of arrival at his destination in Iraq.

We sometimes find something ugly is unleashed once something good is happens.
Oh happy day for Israelis, Americans and most of all Iranians. The face of terrorism in the world, and particularly of it’s citizens, has been put to rest till the next one arises. Then we should do it all again, if that’s what it takes.
