Israeli officials had requested a list of all hostages in order to proceed with ceasefire negotiations. Hamas refused.
Senior Hamas official Mahmoud Mardawi declared, “We will not talk about a prisoner exchange process with the enemy, as long as there is no ceasefire, the withdrawal of the occupying army, the restoration of the Gaza Strip and the return of the displaced.”
