Iranian long-range ballistic missiles struck the Indian Ocean within 20 miles of a commercial ship and within 100 miles of the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier strike group Saturday amid growing tensions between Iran and the U.S.

Traveling over 1,000 miles from the Islamic State, the missiles were reportedly tracked by US spy satellites before exploding on impact, stated an unknown US official to Fox News.

Said to have not caused alarm, at least two missiles struck the water in what was reported as a routine exercise by the Iranian military. The missiles hit close to an unidentified commercial ship -unidentified per request of privacy.

Part of the Nimitz class of the US Navy, the nuclear supercarrier USS Nimitz was originally scheduled to sail back to Washington state earlier this month before President Trump ordered the ship with its strike group to reverse course and return to the Arabian Sea.

Part of a myriad of exercises by the IRGC in the last week, the Iranian regime has been launching cruise missiles far off its coast.

In a show of force, the USS Georgia, a nuclear submarine armed with a plethora of tomahawk cruise missiles was filmed by an Iranian helicopter as the vessel sailed close to the surface near an Iranian exercise. The clip of the massive submarine was subsequently released to Iranian state media.

“The Iranian missile launches Saturday come days after the one-year anniversary of Iran firing ballistic missiles at a base in Iraq housing American troops. No Americans were killed, but more than 100 suffered head injuries. The Iranian attack came five days after U.S. forces killed Iran’s most powerful general, Qassem Soleimani, in Baghdad while he was leaving the airport, along with Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, leader of Iran’s proxy forces inside Iraq,” writes Fox News.

Despite President Trump’s decision to leave the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) also known as the “Iran Nuclear Deal” in 2018, President-elect Joe Biden has stated his desire to return to the agreement while Iran continues to violate the treaty.

The Islamic republic has declared they are unwilling to return to the JCPOA unless the US first lifts the American-imposed sanctions that have crippled Iran’s economy in the last several years.

The Iranians are testing our new president even though he hasn’t taken office yet. They are patiently awaiting his response.

Iran says, “No Worries Joe, we’re behind you 110%. Don’t mind the missiles, we’re just messin with you.”
