This story is developing…

UPDATE:

The pagers that Hezbollah ordered came from Taiwan, and it was en route to Lebanon when Israel intercepted them. The explosives were implanted in the device’s batteries along with a switch so that the explosion could be activated remotely, reported the NYT.

Today in Lebanon/Syria, around 1530 (330 PM) local time, a message that appeared to come from the Hezbollah leadership arrived on the pagers. At that point, the pagers chirped/rang a few times and then exploded.

A cyber attack has crippled over a thousand members of Hezbollah in Beirut as their pagers exploded simultaneously across the country.

Israel is suspected in the attack as war in the north against the Iranian proxy army is now very likely, per announcements from the Israel war cabinet in recent hours.

I never knew a pager could explode. There were no explosives in the pagers I was forced to carry for work. I had no idea people still used pagers. They went out since mobile phones. There has got to be more to this story.

They used pagers because cell phones can be tracked.

….also understand that Hezbolla switched from using cell phone because they could be tracked- no tracking on pagers- this was brilliant!…Susan

How does this help anything?
Does it advance the dialogue or simply increase the suffering?
Would if children had been carrying any of these?
Tit for Tat….and the vicious cycle continues unabated.
