The Original Thanksgiving Was Passover!

For about 3000 years the Israelites, the 4000 year-long nationals of the territory we call Israel, part Syria, part Jordan and part of Iraq (Mesopotamia) today, celebrated an annual feast of “thanksgiving.”

A short history: The correct name for the Israelites, nationals of a territory, not a religion, is “Hebrews.” They are not “Jews” – the latter being an invention for the residents of Judea, one of the two later Hebrew kingdoms, and a part, not a whole, of the Land of the Israelites – Israel. Today Judea, incorrectly called “the West Bank”, has been illegally occupied by Palestinian Arabs, earlier forcibly annexed by Jordan, its king a Saudi, in April 1950.

The Israelites are a nation in the same sense as the French, Germans, Brits, Russians are a nation, with all the cultural accoutrements that make for a nation. With one exception: The Israelites are a far older nation and culture than any European nation and most Asian nations as well. Having had a unique history, language, script, literature, music, cuisine, architecture and art, culture, religion, coin, and a sensibility unique to itself, having been attacked by antisemites for lacking legitimacy, Israel is actually far more legitimate than its attackers – and critics!

The cited are the necessary cultural characteristics that constitute people-and-nationhood. They are characteristics the so-called “Palestinian Arabs” never possessed. The Palestinians were never a people or a nation, but rather, “Arabs from everywhere,” sharing the Arab’s cultural heritage.

In fact, the Palestinian “people” were invented in Moscow by the Soviet secret services ca.1964-67.The same folk who abolished the practice and celebration of the Hebraic Thanksgiving.

And so, the Passover was formalized into the American Thanksgiving by the Pilgrims who ate many other foods besides (and likely other) than turkey on that day.

More than half of the first Pilgrims died of starvation and other diseases during the first few years of brutal winters in the northeast.

Religious separatists, the pilgrims emigrated to America where there was a promise of freedom from oppression by the religious fanatics who ruled their respective nations. And the promise of freedom to practice their religion, and opportunity for land ownership – meaning the right to private property, to owning your own life, and the defending of the same, by arms if necessary. These principles of American freedom were enshrined in the US Constitution a century and a half later, after American settlers had vanquished the “peaceful” indigenuous people, aka, savages who kept murdering, scalping, raping and kidnapping the Europeans who only wanted to farm, hunt, and raise cattle.

I use the terminology “respective nations” correctly, for there were later pilgrims from France (the Huguenots), Germans, and Scandanavians who settled this nation…and with them came the Israelites who financed and fought and died for independence in the American Revolution.

Without the JEWISH contribution to winning the war, we’d be speaking British, rather than American English, or French, and singing G-d Save the Queen. In fact, without the Jews, we’d have no America. Without the Mosaic Law constituting the fundamental principles, we’d have no US Constitution. Those laws limit man’s behavior toward other men, and govern and limit government’s authority.

Thanksgiving 2021 – Tradition, Origins & Meaning – HISTORY

“Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday in the United States, and Thanksgiving 2021 occurs on Thursday, November 25. In 1621, the Plymouth colonists and the Wampanoag shared an autumn harvest feast that is acknowledged today as one of the first Thanksgiving celebrations in the colonies. For more than two centuries, days of thanksgiving were celebrated by individual colonies and states. It wasn’t until 1863, in the midst of the Civil War, that President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national Thanksgiving Day to be held each November.”

THE VERY ESSENCE, REPRESENTATION, AND MEANING OF THANKSGIVING AND PASSOVER, IS FREEDOM ITSELF.
